CPR has conducted many of the nation's first studies related to paternity establishment, the relationship between access to children and the payment of child support, and the relationship between domestic violence and cooperation with child support requirements. CPR has conducted several large studies of Responsible Fatherhood programs that seek to assist low-income fathers with employment, child support and personal problems that may prevent them from supporting their children financially and emotionally. CPR has also completed many studies related to the effectiveness of various child support enforcement mechanisms. CPR is currently working on the special child support issues confronting incarcerated and newly released parents, including policies and procedures for revising support orders during incarceration and assisting newly released parents to reintegrate with their families and the community at large.
